LAHORE: Work on the Modern Zoo Safari project will be started within the next two months, said Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department Deputy Director Muhammad Naeem Bhatti.

Talking to the APP on Sunday, he said that the project would be completed on 600 acres of land in Karol Ghatti area near River Ravi by the year 2019, with the help of Wildlife Development Project (WDP) funds.  The zoo would be first-of-its-kind in which only African lions would be kept, he added.
