Progress reviewed: ‘Rs5b being spent on development’

Completion of programmes will provide better facilities to people in health and education sectors

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Health Khawaja Salman Rafique has said that Rs5 billion were being spent on different development activities during the current fiscal year in Sahiwal District. He added completion of these programmes will provide better facilities to the people in health and education sectors. He said this while presiding over a meeting to review the annual development programme at DC Office on Friday. The minister reviewed development schemes in detail and issued directions to officials to ensure early completion of work. He warned officials that compromise will not be made on the quality of work. Meanwhile, officials said that work on 337 schemes was underway in Sahiwal under the Annual Development Programme. Of them, 56 schemes were ongoing while 281 were new projects.
