An argument over a few plates of biryani resulted in the murder of a young man at the hands of his maternal uncle in Kot Mir Yakoob Ali Shah village.
Mirbahar was celebrating the valima ceremony of his son, Munawwar. When dinner was served, the groom’s maternal uncle Ali Gohar made an appearance with his friends. As soon as Ali Gohar and his friends sat down to eat, the groom’s younger brother Bux Ali Mirbahar approached them and sharply rebuked his uncle for bringing uninvited guests. His remarks resulted in a heated debate between them and Ali Gohar left.
After half an hour, he reappeared at the house, took out a pistol and shot his nephew, injuring him critically, before escaping. Bux Ali was rushed to the hospital but he died. The police have registered a case.
