Two killed, one injured in firing outside Lahore Sessions Court

According to initial details the police opened firing on a fleeing accused person

LAHORE: At least two persons, a police officer and an accused, have died while another police officer has been injured in a firing incident outside the Lahore Sessions Court on Wednesday.

According to initial details and police, the incident occurred when they tried to capture fleeing accused persons from the near the court.



Reportedly, a police officer was also killed with the accused. He has been identified as Asif Iqbal.

Earlier reports suggested that the accused, identified as Ahsan, was attacked by armed men from the opponent group who opened fire at him.

Following the incident, police also cordoned off the area and have started their investigation.
