Complaint filed: Student says prize money usurped

SIALKOT: Former principal of the Government Murray Collage, Sialkot, has been accused of usurping the prize money of a student. Shahid Mehmood, a BSc student, has filed a complaint to the chief minister of Punjab, saying that he participated in a speech contest held by the Punjab government and stood second in that competition a year ago. The college authorities assured him of his prize money but he has not yet received it. Officials said that the prize distribution ceremony was held last year, and that the former principal had received a cheque worth Rs25, 000 on behalf of Mehmood.
