38 Pakistani students top Cambridge exams
Schools will host individual award ceremonies to honour achievers

At least 38 Pakistani candidates topped different subjects all over the world and won ‘Outstanding Cambridge Learner Award’ in Cambridge Assessment International Education exams held in June 2017. Of them, 20 students are from Punjab.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, the Cambridge Assessment International Education stated the awards were conferred for outstanding academic achievements of secondary school learners in Pakistan in June 2017 Cambridge examinations.
Many schools will be hosting individual award ceremonies to celebrate their learners’ achievements, it added.
Overall, 80 learners in Sindh and Balochistan will receive awards for exceptional performance in Cambridge examinations, including 13 learners who attained the highest marks in Pakistan in a single subject.
Similarly, over 80 learners from North Pakistan bagged positions for exceptional performance in Cambridge examinations, including 11 learners with the highest marks in Pakistan in a single subject.
Over 90 learners in Punjab also topped the chart for exceptional performance in Cambridge examinations, including 16 learners who attained the highest marks in Pakistan in a single subject.
The press release added the ‘Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards’ programme acknowledged the success of learners who took Cambridge examinations in over 40 countries around the world.
It also recognised the high achievers based on outstanding performance in subjects which were not widely taken in Pakistan.
The document stated the winning learners out-performed thousands of candidates worldwide who sat in Cambridge O Levels, Cambridge IGCSEs and Cambridge International AS & A Levels.
