Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's farmhouse in Maharashtra state has been provisionally attached to by the income tax department, Times of India reported.

Sources said that the attachment notice issued under the Prohibition of Benami Property Transactions Act in December of last year.

The main allegation against SRK is that he had made an application to purchase agricultural land for farming, but instead constructed a farmhouse at Alibaug for personal use.

Kolsat | 6 years ago | Reply This a right decision by Indian IT authority. SRK had built a bungalow, aswimming pool and a helipad. Land purchased for farming must be farmed and cannot be used for any other purpose. That is the rule which must be obeyed by all.
