Illegal acts: Father gambles off daughters

Police, called by the villagers, arrest the father.

SEHWAN SHARIF: The residents of Qubi village came to the rescue of four girls who were being handed over to gamblers by their father. The father, Munnu Birhamani, had lost his daughters, Sassui, Yasmin, Sughar and Sohni, in a bet. The villagers were alerted by the mother, and called the police. The culprits were arrested and further investigation is said to be under way.
