Caps and gowns: 453 students conferred degrees at Isra University convocation

Varsity's chancellor, vice chancellor handed over degrees, certificates and medals

HYDERABAD: Isra University conferred academic degrees to 453 graduates and decorated the outshining students with gold and silver medals at its 15th annual convocation on Saturday.

Some 254 graduates received degrees in the disciplines of medical sciences, dentistry, nursing and physical therapy, while another 27 students were awarded postgraduate degrees in medical and allied medical sciences.

The degrees of bachelors and masters in business administration, electrical engineering, computer science, electronics, information technology, software engineering and telecommunications were given to 169 students. Additionally, three scholars were conferred doctorates in computer science and management sciences.

Sadaf Nasir Khan of the MBBS programme, Ayesha Ahmed of the BDS programme, Areeba Naeem Siddiqui of BE, Asifa Jafri of BBA and Tehreem of Allied Medical Sciences were decorated with gold medals. Khan, Ahmed, Tehreem and Siddiqui were also given silver medals along with Murk, Asifa Jafri, Azhan Ishaque, Afzal Khan and Taha Majeed.

Isra University Chancellor Prof Dr Asadullah Kazi and Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Ghulam Qadir Kazi addressed the ceremony and handed over degrees, certificates and medals to the students.
