He was addressing an awareness seminar on mobile apps and web development, a press release issued on Friday stated. The event was held at Iqbal Auditorium of the university and was arranged by Office of Research Innovation and Commercialisation (ORIC).
The vice chancellor said, “We need to contribute our share in the international market.” He added that with skills of IT, the students gained online work and earned money.
Dr Iqbal maintained the country was in the grip of poverty and unemployment. “With innovations and skilled manpower, we can compete with the rest of world.” He said that the UAF was making efforts to produce skilled manpower and conduct tangible researches to address the problems of people, industry and farming community.
