Sri Lanka Cricket is underway to organise a Twenty20 league in July featuring their top players as well as international maestros from India, Australia, Pakistan, West Indies and South Africa. The tournament is said to have five teams based on provinces that will be led by senior Sri Lankan cricketers. Officials have revealed that many superstars have been approached by the board. Around 35 international players including Yuvraj Singh, Kieron Pollard, Chris Gayle, Yusuf Pathan and Shoaib Akhtar are on the list. Salaries in the league will be on the lower side where one estimate suggested three salary slabs with the highest at $30,000, which is what a mid-level player would get for each game of the IPL.
