Minister out to put health sector in order

Warns of stern action if any medical staff personnel found absent during duty hours

QUETTA: Balochistan Health Minister Abdul Majid Abro has said that all available resources will be utilised to provide proper health facilities to the people in all government-run hospitals in the province.

Talking to newsmen on Monday, he said that it was responsibility of the government to provide basic facilities, including health care, clean drinking water and education.
He said that all possible steps would be taken to ensure presence of doctors in hospitals and provision of medicines to the people.

Zehri claims betterment in health, education sectors

“All required equipment would be installed in the government hospitals to provide health facilities to the people at their doorsteps,” Abro said, adding that absence of doctors and negligence on their part would not be tolerated.
“I will pay surprise visits to the government hospitals across the province to check doctors’ presence and availability of medicines,” he added.
All respective hospitals’ medical officials are strictly directed to ensure the best treatment of masses, otherwise the concerned deportment will take action against those found negligent and absent from duty.
He said practical measures are underway to improve basic health facilities and cleanliness at hospitals.
