K-P completes 445 water schemes in southern districts

ISLAMABAD:
Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa government was spending about Rs9 billion on provision of clean drinking water schemes in southern districts of the province.

A spokesman of Public Health Engineering Department told  Radio Pakistan  that government has initiated work on more than 900 clean drinking water schemes in Kohat, Bannu, Karak, Lakki Marwat Tank and DI Khan districts, out of which 445 water schemes have been completed.


Similarly, one hundred tube-wells converted into solar energy have become functional in southern parts to ensure uninterrupted — supply of clean drinking water.
