Workshop: Corporate governance urged

LAHORE: A two-day workshop on corporate governance was launched by the Center for International Private Enterprise (Cipe) in Lahore on Tuesday in collaboration with International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Pakistan Microfinance Network.

Corporate governance expert from IFC, Mohsin Chaudhry said that the workshop is aimed at helping the microfinance institutions to identify corporate governance challenges and improve their practices that would result in reducing the cost of borrowing and ensuring sustainability.

Kashf Foundation Founder and Managing Director Roshaneh Zafar said that good governance helps in developing strong brand management strategy and provides controls internal and external risk factors.
