ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a suspect wanted by authorities in the United Kingdom for an armed robbery and murder in Birmingham.
The accused, Tahir Zarif, who had fled to Pakistan five days after murdering a businessman in Digbeth area in February 2016, was rounded up in Mirpur on Wednesday evening, a source in the FIA told Express News.
On February 3, 2016, Javeed, manager of a warehouse was shot thrice, resulting in his death.

The British intelligence had indicated the suspect's arrival in Pakistan five days after the crime, requesting his extradition.
Subsequently, additional deputy commissioner general issued non-bailable arrest warrants for the accused on December 12 last year.
Anti-Human Trafficking Cell (AHTC) of the FIA had been running ground checks, surveillance, deploying informants and carrying out raids in Jhelum and Mirpur during the last 15 days to materialise the arrest.
