ISLAMABAD: Representatives of three well-reputed companies of Italy and United Kingdom held detailed discussions with All Pakistan Compressed Natural Gas Association (APCNGA) and the concerned government quarters. During their two-day visit to Pakistan, issues related to CNG, including the supply of lightweight CNG cylinder and latest electronic fuel injection (EFI) compatible kits to Pakistan were discussed.

A senior leader said on Tuesday that the association was planning to import latest electronic fuel injection (EFI) compatible kits, lightweight 22kg and 45kg CNG cylinders, which could be used in 660cc to 3,000cc vehicles. The lightweight cylinders would have the same eight-kilogramme CNG filling capacity as of the old 60kg CNG cylinders.

“It will be cost-effective as compared to the increased prices of vehicles. However, the price of new cylinders and kits will be determined after their import,” he said in reply to a query.
