New CM Bizenjo seeks opposition parties’ support

Hopes Balochistan Assembly will complete its constitutional tenure

QUETTA: New Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has expressed his desire to work with the opposition parties on issues of common interests so that genuine political forces can continue playing their role in ensuring stability and order in the province.

This was stated by the chief minister during his meeting with Balochistan National Party President Sardar Akhtar Mengal at the Mengal House on Sunday.

CM Bizenjo was flanked by Mir Jan Mohammad Jamali, while senior BNP leaders, Malik Abdul Wali Kakar, Mir Hammal Kalmati, Sajid Tareen and Akhtar Hussain Langov accompanied Mengal during the meeting.

The chief minister expressed his gratitude over the support Mengal and his party extended during the recent political process that culminated with his election as chief minister.

He sought cooperation of all for the speedy economic development of Balochistan and prosperity of its people

He hoped that the Balochistan Assembly would complete its constitutional tenure.

The BNP president congratulated Bizenjo on being elected as chief minister, and offered his cooperation in running the affairs of the province.

Later, the chief minister also visited the residence of Nawabzada Tariq Magsi and thanked him for his support. They exchanged views on political matters.

Bizenjo spends busy Sunday

Despite Sunday being a holiday, the chief minister spent a busy day attending to official government matters as well as receiving a number of delegations.

Talking to a delegation from his home district Awaran led by District Council Chairman Mir Naseer Bizenjo, CM Bizenjo pledged to eliminate backwardness and poverty in Balochistan.

He thanked God for giving him a chance to serve the people and was honoured in becoming the chief minister.

He said he would make concerted efforts in extending basic civic services and facilities to the people on priority basis, adding that in minimum time, he would serve the people selflessly and would try to meet the expectations of the masses.

He thanked his colleagues for reposing trust in him.

Being a public representative, he said that he was fully aware of the problems in Awaran and that it was his responsibility to solve them.

CM Bizenjo lauded the efforts of the residents of Awaran in playing an equally important role in maintaining peace and order.

“People and the security forces have offered supreme sacrifices for peace and security in Balochistan,” he said, adding that maintaining law and order in Balochistan would be his first preference.

Meanwhile, Balochistan Bus Federation President Haji Juma Khan Badini met the chief minister and congratulated him on his victory.
