ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal has decided to introduce reforms in the civil armed forces working under the ministry of interior, aimed at boosting their performance.

He has constituted a high-level committee, under the supervision of grade 22 officer Asghar Chaudhry, to propose its recommendations for the aforementioned reforms.

A source at the ministry of interior told Express News that the minister had reservations about the disparity among armed forces as far as their facilities, working manual and governing laws were concerned.

He said the minister has given broad guidelines to the committee and asked it to devise a standard law, adoptable for civil armed forces in as regards working conditions and nature of the job.

The source also said committee would also consider a proposal in order to provide an opportunity to officers and men to avail inter-armed forces transfers and postings.
