PM Abbasi expresses hope to strengthen ties with China

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has expressed hope that the relationship between Pakistan and China will improve further in the coming years.

PM Abbasi said this during a meeting with Ambassador of China to Pakistan Yao Jing who called on him at the Prime Minister's Office today.

The prime minister congratulated Ambassador Yao on his appointment to Pakistan and expressed confidence that the ambassador will actively contribute towards smooth and expeditious implementation of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects.

The prime minister emphasised upon expanding people-to-people contact and collaboration in various areas, ranging from trade and commerce to education and culture.

Ambassador Yao Jing thanked PM Abbasi for a warm welcome to Pakistan and reiterated to play his part in realising the vision of Chinese and Pakistani leadership for the benefit of people of the region.
