King Khan and our very own Mahira Khan’s starrer Raees was rated as the most talked about Bollywood movie of 2017 by Twitter India’s annual ranking list. Based on hashtag volume, the movie made it to the top most spoken about movie and right after it is Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai. We love the fact that Mahira Khan is still making waves on the other side of the border!

Failure of recent release Arth – The Destination on the box office has caused actor and director of the movie Shaan Shahid to lash out against media and negative reviews on social media. He criticised haters and said “Croak as much as you can with your hate words and analysis. It helps us rise above. But seriously I wish you had a better job. Losers”. Definitely not the reaction we expected from the experienced actor!

Mahira Khan, Saba Qamar named as 2017’s best Bollywood debutantes



UK-based publication The Eastern Eye names Mahira Khan and Saba Qamar as best Bollywood debutantes of 2017. “Mahira Khan – a star in Pakistan, a debutant here – is naturally easy before the camera playing Raees’ girlfriend and later his wife,” said film critic Anna MM Vetticad. The critic also praised Saba Qamar by comparing her acting skills with Fawad Khan. Congratulations to the two starlets!

Beyonce’s sister, Solange Knowles shares struggle with illness



Beyonce’s younger sister, Solange Knowles recently revealed that she is suffering from an autonomic disorder which is a dysfunction of the nervous system. The singer cancelled her tour to South Africa for a festival and a New Year performance because her doctor asked her to refrain from any long journeys. We wish her a speedy recovery!

Priyanka Chopra was recently invited to speak at a lecture “Breaking the glass ceiling – chasing a dream” arranged by Penguin Books India. As soon as she delivered her lecture she was heavily criticised by Twitterati and other social media forums for being chosen as the guest speaker because she has nothing to do with the literary world, from where more deserving women writers could’ve been invited to speak instead. However, Priyanka stepped up to the challenge and delivered an inspiring speech. Way to go girl!
