SEZ: BoI keen to facilitate foreign investors

BoI will implement the modern concept of super ministry and one-window operation

ISLAMABAD: The Board of Investment (BoI) is committed to providing facilities for plant and machinery import without customs duty in Special Economic Zones (SEZs). Priority of the BoI would be to provide ease of doing of business with all modern facilities for foreign investor in SEZs, said a senior official of the board on Tuesday.

He suggested that Pakistani investors should go for joint ventures with foreign investors to learn the international best practices of managerial skills and technology. The official said that all steps would be taken for industrial growth in the country. “We are committed to facilitating foreign investors in SEZs.” The BoI will implement the modern concept of super ministry and one-window operation for enhancing foreign investment through reforms of the institution.
