SARGODHA: A woman was shot dead by her brother in Saddar Police limits on Friday.
The police said that Mehran Maseeh, a resident of Chak No 102/NB, gunned down his sister Asma over a marriage issue. The body was handed over to the family after legal formalities while police have arrested the accused.

Meanwhile, the police arrested three drug pushers and seized narcotics from them. The police said that Bhera police team arrested three drug pushers and confiscated 7,200 grammes of opium from them.
The accused were identified as Taj Rehan, Khalida and Khalid Khan. The police have registered separate cases and started investigation.

Meanwhile, RPO Akhtar Abbas transferred six officials in the region. A police spokesperson said Inspector Mumtaz had been transferred from Mianwali and posted at Khushab district. Similarly, ASIs Attaullah, Ashfaq Hussain, Ashraf, Saeed and ASI Ayub were also transferred.
