Tareen’s role in PTI
It is important that sanctity of courts is upheld as it is one of the pillars on which the institution of state stands
LAHORE:
After the disqualification of the party’s general secretary, Jahangir Tareen, the PTI would have to look for a suitable replacement. However, a few days ago, the party chairman, Imran Khan, gave a statement stating that he will keep his former secretary general by his side even when he has been disqualified by the supreme court. Tareen’s role in PTI’s management cannot be denied; however, following the court’s verdict, the PTI chairman must end the official role of Tareen in formulating party policies or any in other capacity that is in conflict with the court verdict.
It is important that the sanctity of courts is upheld as it is one of the pillars on which the institution of state stands.
