Criticising the judgement in the Jahangir Tareen case, Maryam Nawaz on Saturday that despite being disqualified Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader’s case was not forwarded to the National Accountability Bureau.

In a tweet, deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter said that despite being disqualified on charges of inside trading and accepting the allegations Tareen’s case was not forwarded to NAB.

In another tweet she said that Tareen was not disqualified for not taking salary from his son but was disqualified for misusing his authority to expand his business.

The Supreme Court disqualified Jahangir Tareen and barred him from holding any public office in its December 15 verdict.

The bench disqualified Tareen on very similar grounds to those used by the larger bench to oust former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. The court did not pass any direction regarding allegations of corruption against Tareen.
