Raza, a convener of the Aghaz-e-Dosti, a friendship initiative between the youth of India and Pakistan, was picked up from his residence in Model Colony, Lahore on December 2.

Activists belonging to various rights groups, along with friends and family, have been running from pillar to post for the activist’s release.

The Amnesty International is also among those demanding that the Pakistani government immediately ensure Raza's recovery.
