3G/4G subscribers cross 47 million
Mobile phone users also rise to 143.34m

Teledensity in Pakistan is increasing steadily as well as 3G/4G penetration. The number of 3G and 4G users reached 47.2 million by the end of November 2017 against 46.5 million at October-end, according to data released by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA).
The number of mobile phone users in Pakistan reached 143.34 million by the end of November from 142.40 million a month ago, showing an increase of around 0.66% during the period. Mobile broadband subscribers rose to 47.2 million in November from 46.5 million in the previous month, according to the PTA.
PEC grants accreditation to UCET
Among individual companies, Jazz 3G subscribers increased from 13.9 million in October to 14.1 million in November while its LTE subscribers increased from 1.5 million to 1.7 million.
Zong’s 3G subscribers increased from 8.9 million to 9.02 million. Its 4G users also grew from 4.7 million to 4.8 million. Telenor’s 3G subscribers decreased to 10.5 million in November from 10.6 million in the previous month whereas its 4G users rose to 1.3 million from 1.16 million in the previous month.
Mobile subscriptions inch up to 142.4 million
Ufone’s 3G subscribers remained almost static at 5.5 million in November 2017.
