ISLAMABAD:
The federal government, as part of its endeavours to provide healthy activities in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) has established a cricket academy to promote the game.

The academy has been established in collaboration with a local cricket clubs and Sports Administration of South Waziristan Agency under supervision of law enforcement agencies (LEAs).

Karachi gets its first high performance cricket academy


Around 60 players have been registered so far who would be trained by four coaches. Sources at Planning, Development and Reform Division on Wednesday said that there is a complete institutional set up for overall development projects and programmes in the Fata and particularly for Sports Development.

Directorate of Sports in Fata Secretariat has also constructed a Sports Complex in Wana, South Waziristan Agency at a cost of Rs70.5 million.
