Brave youth of province offering services to nation: governor

QUETTA: Balochistan Governor Muhammad Khan Achakzai has said that the brave youth of the province have been offering their services for the nation and their country to become part of Pakistan Army.

The governor was speaking at the passing-out parade of 8th batch of Baloch recruits who had joined Pakistan Army, at EME Centre on Tuesday. Achakzai said that all conspiracies being hatched by outlaws and terrorists to create unrest at the behest of our enemies would be foiled with unity.

Commander Sothern Command Lt Gen Asim Bajwa, provincial ministers, senior civil and military officers and a large number of students of universities and other educational institutions also attended the passing-out parade.

Governor Achakzai said, “The role of Pakistan Army against terrorism was unforgettable as our Jawans and officers were rendering their lives for the protection of our motherland and the people of the country.” He said that it was a matter of great pleasure that Balochistan’s youth were joining Pakistan Army in large numbers and offering their services for the protection of their motherland.

He said that terrorists and outlaws were trying to create unrest and harm the country with the help of our enemies and we have to show unity in our ranks to defeat these elements.

Country comes first, says Gen Qamar

“Our security institutions, government and people were jointly making efforts to root out terrorism from the country,” Achakzai said, adding that the day is not far when these elements will be thrown out from the country with the joint efforts.

The governor thanked the army for giving special attention on the induction of Balochistan’s youth in the army. He said that 13,200 youths of Balochistan have become part of their army so far while 580 more have completed their training today to offer their services for the nation.
