SARGODHA: A woman was brought to Civil Hospital with severe burn injuries in an explosion of a gas cylinder. Rescue 1122 officials said that Beenish Yaqub, a resident of Mariam Town, was cooking food when the gas cylinder exploded.

They said doctors at the Civil Hospital had suggested that the woman be taken a hospital in Lahore or Faisalabad because there was no burn unit in the Civil Hospital. They said that 90 per cent of her body was burnt. The family speculated that fire must have erupted when she had lit the match stick because she started screaming for help within a minute of going to the kitchen.
