Clash: Two injured ‘for burning wheat crop’

HAROONABAD: Two women were injured in clashes between a wedding party and farmers in Harroonabad after fireworks by former caused a fire at the farmers’ wheat crop.

Farmers gathered at the spot and refused to let the procession move unless it paid damages. On refusal, The farmers attacked the procession with sticks and stones and injured two women. The wedding procession was coming from Vehari. Some people in the procession set off fireworks while they were passing through Haroonabad’s village 56 4R.
