PESHAWAR: The Cantonment Board on Sunday gave a seven-day deadline to markets located within the cantonment area for removing encroachment. Moreover, shopkeepers were warned of strict action if they do not comply with the directions. On the directions of the Nowshera Cantonment Station Commander Brigadier Nazir Hussain, the executive officer along with a team raided Babu Muhallah, Khushal Pura, Main GT Road, Cavalry Road and Aziz Bhatti Road. They seized all items lying by the roadside, encroaching on the road. The executive officer also warned to remove all the encroachments within seven days otherwise action would be taken against them.
