Sibi-Harnai railway track to be inaugurated soon, says Zehri

Balochistan CM says provincial govt keen on meeting all promises made to people

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has said that the provincial coalition government is keen on meeting all its promises made to the people of the province and one such example is the Sibi-Harnai railway section, which will be inaugurated early next year.

“The railway track will be more beneficial for business-related activities,” Zehri said while inspecting the section in Sibi on Thursday.

Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique, Home Minister Sarfraz Bugti, IG FC Major General Nadeem Anjum, DG NLC Major General Faisal Mushtaq and railways officials were also present on the occasion.

“Our coalition government had inaugurated construction work on Sibi-Harnai railway section in 2015, which will be completed during our tenure,” he said. “The track will be beneficial for people of Sibi and Harnai in terms of trade and transportation of vegetables and natural minerals.”

Zehri asks depts to fill vacancies

The Balochistan CM said Sibi-Harnai railway service would make it clear that the provincial government was effectively working on development projects.

“We are keen to provide better job and business opportunities to our people as I have directed all departments to fill the vacant seats on merit,” he said.

On the law and order situation in the province, Zehri said, “Peace is being restored in major parts of Balochistan due to positive steps taken by the coalition government.”

No one would be allowed to challenge the writ of the government, he said, adding that it was the provincial government’s responsibility to protect the lives and properties of the masses.

On the upgradation of Sangan Levies Station, the Balochistan CM said, “More recruitment in the Sangan Levies force will be announced soon and modern weaponry will be provided to them to combat enemies more effectively.”
