Judge announces prison for Shahid

On Tuesday, the judge had convicted accused along with fine and confiscation of his property

LAHORE: Accountability Court (AC) No 5 Judge Syed Najamul Hassan Bukhari sentenced Shahid Farooq to three years in jail, besides ordering Rs141.4 million fine and confinement of property in a case of public cheating at large.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Lahore launched an active inquiry in April 2014 against Farooq following numerous complaints filed by the victims of the accused who used to lure pubic in the name of returning profit by investing in sale and purchase of agricultural goods.

On Tuesday, the judge had convicted accused along with fine and confiscation of his property.
