Imran says Sharifs and Zardari(s) have ruined the country for the sake of making themselves rich
SHEIKHUPURA:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday accused the Sharif brothers and Zardari and company of destroying the country by stashing billions abroad.
“Sharifs and Zardari(s) have ruined the country for the sake of making themselves rich,” Khan said while addressing a rally in Sheikhupura as part of the party’s continuing string of rallies across Punjab.
“Their days are numbered,” Khan said, adding, “The Sharif family have looted a mammoth R300 billion and sent them abroad.”
He also criticised the chief of a media house, saying Mir Shakilur Rehman was the godfather of the media who had been supporting them (Sharif and Zardari) in their corruption.
Khan said once in power his party will not spare former National Accountability Bureau chief Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, until he meets justice and is behind bars.

The PTI chairman claimed that the former NAB chief helped facilitate corruption cases of the government officials.
“Wherever you go we will bring you to task, you are nation's criminal,” said Imran Khan.
Khan said the Hudaibiya Paper Mills case would prove to be a disaster for the entire Sharif family as “the case involves the names of all members of the Sharif family”.
The PTI chairman also lashed out at Sheikhupura’s Deputy Commissioner for not providing the stadium to hold the rally, mocking him as Shehbaz Sharif’s errand boy.
Khan pointed out what he called ‘double standards’ of the PML-N that their leaders used to label him as an agent of the Jewish lobby at home while presented him as ‘Taliban Khan’ abroad, recalling Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif’s remarks in the United States where the foreign minister claimed the N-League as a liberal party while the PTI as an ultra-conservative right-wing party.
He went on add that those who labelled him as an agent of the Jewish lobby were the ones who altered the Khatm-e-Nabuwwat clause in the election bill nomination papers to please their ‘Western masters’ and added that they denied it after the nation reacted harshly but acknowledged it in the end.

Khan stressed that the country’s ill could not be fixed until the leaders stop milking it of money and recalled that foreign tourists used to visit Pakistan in its glorious past while the country has been so badly exploited now that Pakistanis have been preferring to settle abroad or to find employment and good standard of living.
“This sad state of affairs is due to the likes of Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari,” he said.
Khan asserted that once the PTI comes to power it will fix the country from inside out and will not let anyone exploit its resources.
He also appealed to the people to act justly and kindly towards the minority communities.
