LAHORE: Three women and a minor girl were shot and injured by unidentified suspects in a beauty parlor in Shafiqabad on Saturday noon.

The victims were identified as Parveen Akhtar, her daughter Sidra, daughter in law Chanda and a minor girl Noor Fatima.

The victims were present inside Emaan Beauty Parlor in Gol Bagh, Karim Park when unidentified armed motorcyclists barged into it. They resorted indiscriminate firing, leaving the victims into pools of blood.

The suspects fled from the scene without any resistance.

On hearing the gunshots and screams, locals called the police and rescue teams. The teams reached the spot on and shifted the victims to Mayo Hospital.

Doctors said that the condition of victim Parveen was critical as she had suffered eight bullet wounds. Condition of other victims was stated to be stable.

City Police Operation SP Adil Memon told that the victim Parveen Akhtar had an impending land dispute with her relatives.

A case was also pending before the court over the dispute.

Initial investigations suggested that this dispute might have prompted the incident.

Circumstantial evidence and initial investigations suggested that it was a case of terrorism. Further facts and motive behind the incident will be asserted after thorough investigations, he concluded.
