SAARC: Business Leaders Nepal to host conclave in March

ISLAMABAD: SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) has announced organising a high level 3-day 6th mega edition of SAARC Business leaders Conclave (SBLC) on March 16 in Kathmandu, Nepal, SAARC CCI President Suraj Vaidya disclosed in a meeting with CCI's Pakistan Chapter Vice President Iftikhar Ali Malik on Friday.

In a statement, he said that CCI, in collaboration with the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, would organise the conclave in which chambers from all South Asian member countries would participate.

Elaborating on the salient features of the event, Suraj said the theme of this year's conference would be "Unleashing Shared Prosperity through Economic Integration." He said the urgency of the need for new policies to stimulate economic growth was all the more poignant because the region as a whole remains plagued by extreme poverty.
