Gridlock at Sharae Faisal due to construction work

Traffic update

KARACHI: The city’s main artery, Sharae Faisal, was unexpectedly closed on Wednesday due to construction work. The government blocked the road leading from Finance and Trade Centre (FTC) to Metropole Hotel, resulting in a massive traffic jam.

The road was closed without any prior notice. The road from FTC to Metropole Hotel was blocked due to carpeting and no alternative route was notified for the public. The machinery being used left the air filled with dust, while the commuters were delayed indefinitely.

Traffic was also blocked from Kala Pul to FTC. Traffic police deployed at Aisha Bawany College, Metropole, Kala Pul and Nursery failed to manage the situation.
