Imran Khan condemns Peshawar attack

He applauded the professional KP police force for its rapid response in dealing with the attackers on ground

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf Chairman Imran Khan condemned the Peshawar attack in a series of tweets.

He extended his prayers to the victims and their families and stated that damage control was aptly done by the forces.


Nine killed as burqa-clad militants storm Peshawar Agricultural Training Institute


At least nine people were killed as armed men clad in burqas stormed into Peshawar’s Agricultural Training Institute early Friday morning.

He applauded the professional K-P police force for its rapid response in dealing with the attackers on ground saying:




Over 32 people, including a police sub-inspector and a constable sustained injuries in the attack. According to the Hayatabad Medical Complex spokesperson, six bodies have been received, while Khyber Teaching Hospital has confirmed the demise of three.

Peshawar varsity attackers were in contact with militants in Afghanistan: ISPR

Hours after security forces completed the successful counter-attack operation in Peshawar’s Agricultural Training Institute, Pak Army said the attack was orchestrated by militants based in Afghanistan.

"Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claiming the responsibility for the attack is a proof that it was planned by terrorists based in Afghanistan,” Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) was quoted as saying.

He further said that Afghanistan will have to take stern actions against the terrorists using its soil. “Pakistan has done a lot to eliminate terrorism from the region but militants are casting an evil eye on Balochistan and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.”
