2017 enters its last month with lives lost. Express Tribune compiled a list of the most deadliest attacks in the last few years:

December 1, 2017: Peshawar Agricultural Training Institute



 At least nine people were killed as armed men clad in burqas stormed into Peshawar’s Agricultural Training Institute.

October 24, 2016: Police Training College, Quetta



Three heavily armed terrorists carried out an attack on the Balochistan police training college in QuettaPakistan, killing 61 cadets and injuring more than 165 others.

January 20, 2016: Bacha Khan University, Charsadda



At least 22 people were killed as terrorists armed with ammunition and bombs targeted Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) on January 20.

Nine killed as burqa-clad militants storm Peshawar Agricultural Training Institute

December 16 ,2014: Army Public School Attack, Peshawar



At least 141 people, including 132 children and nine staff members of the school, were killed when unidentified armed men opened fire.

June 16, 2013: Sardar Bahadur Khan University, Quetta

October 9, 2012: Swat school bus attack



School girl Malala Yousufzai was shot on a school bus by a Taliban militant in Swat.

June 9, 2012: Quetta University bus attack



At least five students from the ethnic Hazara community were killed and over 70 others, including policemen and children, wounded in a bomb attack on a university bus in Quetta city on Monday.

October 27, 2014: Girl’s school blown up in Bara. No injuries.

September 9, 2014: A girls’ school in Bajaur agency, reconstructed after already being destroyed in 2010, was blown up again on the eve of International Literacy Day. No injuries.

August 23, 2013: Girls School blown up. No injuries

Remembering lives lost in Peshawar school attack



January 9, 2014: Suicide bomber attempts to attack school in Hangu. He was thwarted by Aitzaz Hasan, a student at the school, who subdued him and died in the process, along with the militant.

July 7, 2013: A girls’ school in Bannu was blown up by a 10kg explosive device. No injuries.
