CDA starts conservation work of Margalla Hills National Park

A CDA official says the capital’s civic agency has already launched a drive for cleanliness of the MHNP

ISLAMABAD: CDA Environment Wing is working for the conservation of Margalla Hills National Park (MHNP) habitat of birds, mammals and species and up-gradation of the walking and hiking tracks. An official of environment wing of Capital Development Authority said the park spreads over 31,142 acres and has a habitat of around 600 plant species, 250 bird varieties, 38 mammals and 13 species of reptiles. He said, the capital’s civic agency had already launched a comprehensive drive for cleanliness of the MHNP in collaboration with civil society, students and environmentalists. He said that thousands of the people from different walks’ of life visit the national park daily to enjoy the natural environment and healthy recreational facilities.
