ISLAMABAD:
Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) is using the latest technology in execution of the ongoing development projects in Islamabad within stipulated time.

Mayor of Islamabad and Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Anser Aziz said this while inspecting dualisation of road from Service Road (West) roundabout Sector G-10 to Khayaban-e-Iqbal.

He directed the authorities concerned to complete the dualisation of the road before December 5 this year, and he urged the officials concerned to formulate effective strategy for timely completion of the ongoing development projects in the Capital City, adding that unnecessary delay in completion of development projects not only increased the estimated cost but also would give negative publicity for CDA. He said that the delaying tactics in the completion of development projects would not be tolerated and stern action would be taken against the responsible people. Aziz was apprised about the dualisation work on the project, which was started in April 2016, which would cost Rs23.00 million.

Project director assured the chairman that the development work would be completed within the stipulated time. He said that 90 percent of development work on the project had been completed. Mayor expressed his dissatisfaction with the landscaping work on median strip by the Environment Wing.
