The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PM&DC) and Ministry of National Health Regulations, Services and Coordination (NHRS&C) have started taking action against the colleges which are not following the centralised admission policy 2016. In a statement, PM&DC President Shabbir Lehri said that all colleges have to submit their student registration lists before March 31, 2018 for the session 2017-18 to PM&DC after completing the admissions as per centralised admission policy 2016. He added otherwise the students will not be registered with the PM&DC. He maintained the council refrained all the private medical and dental colleges to invite applications and display their merit lists and strictly directed the authorities concerned that admissions in MBBS and BDS courses in public and private sector institutions of Pakistan and abroad shall be governed by Admission Regulations 2016.
