Two Afghan nationals arrested in Khanpur
Accused fail to produce legal documents
BAHAWALPUR:
The police claimed to have arrested two Afghan nationals over their illegal stay in Khanpur Tehsil, Rahim Yar Khan and registered a case against them under the Foreign Act.
A police official said on Monday that Khanpur police received information that two Afghan nationals had been staying in the city without any legal permission. “Following the tip-off, a police team conducted raid at the house and arrested them,” he said.

The accused could not produce legal documents and were sent to lock-up. Khanpur police have registered a case against the suspects while further probe was underway.
Meanwhile, the police nabbed three drug peddlers from different localities of Rahim Yar Khan and seized liquor and hashish from their possession.
The police said that a patrolling party conducted raid at a house in Sheikh Sattar Village and arrested a female drug peddler. The police also confiscated over one kilogrammes of hashish from the possession of the accused.

In another raid, the police arrested a suspect from Hussainabad area and seized 340 grammes of hashish from him.
Similarly, the police raided a liquor factory in Mauza Talbani and arrested an accused and seized 105 liters of liquor.
