Four terrorists killed in Faisalabad CTD operation

At least seven to eight terrorists were on motorcycles and opened fire on the police officials

At least four Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan terrorists were killed during a Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) operation in Faisalabad on Saturday.

According to Express News, CTD received information on Friday night about the entry of terrorists into Faisalabad, and deployed security forces on Sargodha road for snap checking of vehicles crossing by.

At least seven to eight terrorists were on motorcycles and opened fire on the police officials. Cross firing from both ends resulted in the death of four terrorists while the rest escaped into the dark.

A search operation was initiated after the remaining terrorists escaped with heavy police forces deployed in the area. CTD official has said terrorists belonged to TTP, who have been planning a massive terrorist attack in Faisalabad.

The official also added that two Klashinkov guns, multiple pistols, three kilograms of explosives, detonators and two motorcycles were also recovered from the terrorists.

A Pakistan Army major on Wednesday embraced martyrdom during a clash with militants in Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan in Kyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, a local police source confirmed to The Express Tribune.

The army, while acting on a tip-off around midnight, raided the house of commander Zahir Shah of the defunct Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Musa Zai Mohllah where he was present with his accomplices, according to the DI Khan Counter Terrorism Department (CTD).
