CRIS director said Pakistani orange export would increase during the current season

The processing of kinnow has commenced in Sargodha region to ensure maximum export of best quality fruit while the growers receive best rates for their yields.
‘Bumper kinnow crop expected this season’
This was said by Citrus Research Institute (CRIS) Director Muhammad Nawaz Maiken on Friday. He added kinnow was being processed for export to international markets as its season will continue till end of April.
He said that bumper crop of quality kinnow was expected in the current season. He maintained that last year almost 220,000 metric tonnes of kinnow were exported.

The CRIS director said Pakistani oranges (kinnow) export would be increased during the current season due to expected bumper crop and the best quality production.The CRIS was making all-out efforts to improve the quality of citrus and special attention was also being paid to seedless kinnow production which had great demand across the globe.
