Exploiting employees: SHC takes notice of torture of labourer
Naushero Feroz district and sessions judge, SSP and Shaheed Benazirabad DIG to submit reports within three days

The Sindh High Court (SHC) called on Friday reports from the Naushero Feroz district and sessions judge, Shaheed Benazirabad DIG and Naushero Feroz SSP regarding arrest and action against a feudal lord allegedly involved in torturing a labourer for demanding fair pay.
Judicial sources said the SHC registrar had directed them to submit their reports within three days for perusal of SHC Chief Justice Ahmed Ali M Sheikh.
CJ Sheikh had taken notice of a report published in a newspaper on November 11. According to the report, feudal lord Mansoor Bhurt had brutally tortured a labourer and threw him into a river for demanding fair pay. He was rescued by other labourers but the feudal lord and his allies caught and tortured him once again.

The report said after the victim lodged a report of the incident at a police station, he was threatened by the culprits.
Therefore, the SHC CJ directed the SHC registrar to call a detailed report from the Naushero Feroz district and sessions judge, Shaheed Benazirabad DIG and Naushero Feroz SSP regarding the incident and for the arrest of the accused persons.
Sources said the registrar's office told the judge and police officers to submit their reports within three days.
