Hollywood's A-list celebrities like Rihanna, Cara Delevingne and Kim Kardashian have demanded the release of Cyntoia Brown. Back in 2004, Cyntoia who was 16 at the time, had murdered a man who paid her for sex. Currently aged 29, Cyntoia is serving a life sentence, reported Harper's Bazaar.

The Umbrella singer took to Instagram and asked for releasing Cyntoia for being a victim of sex-trafficking.

"Something is horribly wrong when the system enables these rapists and the victim is thrown away for life. To each of you responsible for this child's sentence, I hope to God you don't have children, because this could be your daughter being punished for punishing already," Rihanna stated.

In a 2004 trial, Cyntoia confessed that she shot 43-year-old Jonny Allen because she was afraid of him. The prosecution however explained that Cyntoia killed him so she could steal from him, to which the jury agreed.

Her story was brought back to light in the 2011 documentary Me Facing Life: Cyntoia's Story. In the documentary, she implied that she was being targeted for sex-trafficking by someone named 'Cut-throat' who forced her into prostitution.

Other famous names, like Kim Kardashian also came forward saying that she would have her legal team look at the case and help Cyntoia.

Even supermodel Cara stated that the justice system is flawed and the decision made by the jury was absurd.
