LAHORE: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) welcomed on Wednesday the suspension of regulatory duty (RD) on over 400 imported items by the Lahore High Court (LHC) and urged the government to completely withdraw duties on imports until genuine grievances of stakeholders are redressed.

In a statement, LCCI Acting President Khawaja Khawar Rasheed and Vice President Zeshan Khalil thanked the LHC for listening to the business community’s point of view and for taking prompt action against regulatory duty which was imposed without taking stakeholders into confidence.
