Missing rate lists: Fines imposed on 11 shopkeepers in Faisalabad

The shopkeepers were charged for not displaying the rate lists at prominent place at their shops

FAISALABAD: Special Price Control Magistrate Riaz Anjum has imposed a fine of Rs30,000 on 11 shopkeepers on charge of not displaying the rate lists at prominent place at their shops.

Spokesman for the local administration said on Saturday that among these shopkeepers were rounded up from Gulistan Colony, Millat Road and their peripheral areas.

Meanwhile, Education Authority Faisalabad Chief Executive Officer Dr Javaid Iqbal Chishti has suspended two headmasters and one teacher on charge of poor performance and absence from duty.

Spokesman for the Education Authority said on Saturday the CEO paid surprise visit to various schools and found performance very poor in Government High School Pindi Sheikh Musa and Government High School Chak No 607-GB Bahlak and suspended their headmasters Zulqarnain Kamran and Abid Hussain respectively.

The CEO also suspended Sidra Rana a teacher of Government Girls Higher Secondary School Dijiot on the charge of absence from duty.
