Ciel Etoile – meaning starry sky – comprises of eight pieces in pastel shades such as taupe and ivory with shades of rubies, amethysts and sapphire. The line features richly embroidered organza, net and jacquard and no prints have been included in the collection, keeping the desired ‘luxury’ feel of the fabrics in mind. Each outfit consists of three pieces, starting from Rs12,500 each.

So what sets Ciel Etoile apart from the other luxury fabrics available to customers in the market? “We have used the finest of the fabrics such as chiffon, organza and net. In fact, the quality of our net is impeccable! The designs are unique, aesthetically pleasing and fit for everyone,” Bilal Khalid, owner of Epoque told The Express Tribune. “We’ve played around with various new techniques and unique hand embellishments. The variety of colours in our collection is bound to set the hearts racing.”

Sana also spoke of the exclusive collaboration and why she decided to work with Epoque in the first place. “We launched our new collection earlier in September as that’s when most brides like to place their orders for the wedding season. But with the demand skyrocketing peak, we started working on an unstitched luxury line that focuses more on the dinner parties and the dhokhis that take place during weddings. It is an extension of my widely popular luxury pret line,” she said. “Also, I don’t think we are just a bridal design house; we definitely have more options for different kinds of events, we cater to all ages and are working towards creating a more diversified line. Ciel Etoile is just one more venture.”
On the road to recovery

Asked what Suffuse is offering to its client this season, Sana revealed that the brand is coming up with a variety of collections this season which will have something for everyone. “We have introduced a new line called Aab E Zaar that has a more old school feel. We also have a accessories line that we keep on updating and will be introducing ready to wear soon as well,” she shared. “In the future, we would like to introduce ready to wear formals as there is a great demand for those during wedding seasons which last nearly all year round now.”

Talking about the brand’s design philosophy Sana said, “It has always been a modern woman rooted to her heritage. The Suffuse bride is confident, fun and comfortable in her own skin.”

Janaan beauty, Armeena Khan is serving as the face of the campaign. Bilal and Sana both felt her persona did justice to the clothes and carried the collection just how they had perceived it. “Armeena is just stunning! She was the only option we had in mind and didn’t think twice about it. She is a strong, confident woman and we like her style and feel a Suffuse woman can relate to her easily.”
